CREATIVELY COMPLAINING FOR A BETTER WORLD
Picture
A club for world transformation.

Monkey Rebel is a club that doesn’t just talk—we act. We solve problems through creativity, courage, and direct action. To us, creativity isn’t about being artistic—it’s about seeing solutions where others see obstacles. We believe there’s always a way forward, and we build that path together. We collaborate with leaders, challenge systems, and bring energy and urgency to everything we do. Our meetings are spaces of movement—of problem-solving, project-launching, and meaningful work.

We don't waste time. We build futures.

Creative Problem-Solving

We look for solutions, not excuses. Obstacles become opportunities.

Direct Action & Real Outcomes

We don’t just talk—we implement, campaign, and collaborate with decision-makers.

Fast-Paced & Focused

We make decisions quickly and follow through, with energy and humour.

Hands-On Meetings

Every meeting is a chance to build, write, plan, or act.

courageous culture

Members are encouraged to speak up, lead, and dream big—even if it scares them

Complex Youth-Led Projects

Our members work goes beyond our school walls. We create policy pitches, community campaigns, and tangible change in our community.

Love Louder
Philosophy

We respond to injustice not just with protest, but with compassion. Love, amplified, is our revolution.

Picture
We envision a world where each person believes deeply in their power to enact meaningful change—a world rooted in love, compassion, and respect, where all identities and lives are valued, where the earth is cherished, and where people expect the very best from each other and their world.
Picture
We believe in courageous compassion. We stand up for what’s right, speak the truth even when it’s hard, and look at the world not with apathy, but with empathy. We believe that kindness is powerful, that justice matters, and that change is possible—especially when it comes from people who refuse to stay silent. We think outside the box, act with heart, and always try to see possibility instead of despair.

Our creativity is not just artistic—it’s revolutionary.

empathy

We seek to understand others—especially the marginalized. We act with compassion and dignity.

courage

We speak up when it’s uncomfortable. We question power and stand up to injustice.

respect

We treat all people with care regardless of our differences, listen to one another, and create safe spaces.

justice

We fight for equity, fairness, and human rights. We protect those who are vulnerable.

creativity

We think differently. We use art, language, and innovation to bring attention to what matters.

voice

We are not silent. We believe one voice can change the world.

hope

We see opportunities in every problem. We act with belief in a better world.

Picture
We take on real issues with courage, compassion, and creativity. Whether we’re fighting for climate justice, standing up for marginalized communities, painting murals, or restoring dignity to the unhoused, our goal is action with impact. We aim to create long-term projects that spark change in our schools, our city, and eventually, the country. We want to leave the world better than we found it—and become adults who know they can make a difference.

Plans for the year 2025-2026 include the following:

  • Complete hope mural on 8th St.
  • Spread our 15-minute initiative to at least 5 more cities, by visiting respective school councils.
  • Present to the BC Budget Committee in Victoria and demand province-wide K–12 climate action education.
  • Establish recurring fundraisers (e.g. art sale initiative) that become annual traditions with lasting impact.
  • Launch and sustain a yearly donation program (e.g. adult diapers, toiletries) that meets real needs.
  • Create campaigns or advocacy projects to make NWSS safer and more inclusive for all.
  • Help new members see that 'just one person' can make a difference, and that creative action is powerful.
