We had the opportunity to meet last year with the Climate Action, Planning and Development team for New Westminster. During that brainstorming meeting, we compiled a very long list of possible things the City could do to make things more environmentally friendly and better for everyone. |
Shortly after, we found out about the contest for the 22nd Street Area, as explained below!!!
We used all of our ideas from our brainstorming, as well as more and more ideas, to make 4 posters, and sent everything in to the contest!

There were 82 submissions and it was really hard for the city to pick the winners.
GUESS WHAT!!! We won TOP LOCAL COMMUNITY IDEA!

That is a $2000 dollar prize for our club!
We are all SO EXCITED -- we will be buying many books, doing field trips and also celebrating LOTS!
