 2SLGBTQQIA+ FLAGS


Below is a comprehensive guide to the majority of flags. Some of them have very similar meanings, but there are some differences to every one. They represent part of people's identities.

Progress Pride Flag: Besides the six-colored Rainbow Flag, which is widely recognized as the symbol of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBTQ+) community, the new flag includes black and brown stripes to represent marginalized LGBTQ+ communities of color, along with the colors pink, light blue and white, which are used on the Transgender Pride Flag, as well as the black circle to include intersex people.

2 Spirit: an Indigenous umbrella term referring to a person whose body holds a feminine and equally masculine spirit within them.

Lesbian: A lesbian is a non-man who is attracted to women.
Lesbians sometimes use the term gay .

Bisexual : Someone who is attracted to people of two or more genders.

​Transgender or Trans. A person whose gender identity differs from what is typically associated with the sex they were assigned at birth.

Genderqueer: someone who sexuality is not straight or cisgender. People who are lesbian, gay, bi, or trans sometimes identify as this. It is an umbrella term. Questioning is when someone is unsure of their sexuality or orientation

Pansexual: A person who is attracted to people regardless of gender. Pansexuals use the slogan "hearts, not parts".

Polysexual: someone who is sexually and/or romantically attracted to multiple genders. It is not the same as being bisexual or pansexual, although all of these sexualities involve being attracted to more than one gender. It also is not the same as being polyamorous.

Abrosexual: Someone who is abrosexual has a fluid sexual orientation. They experience different sexual orientations over time.

Demiromantic: People who are demiromantic need to feel an emotional connection with someone before they can feel romantic toward them.

Aromantic: people who experience little or no romantic attraction to anyone.

Agender: Agender people see themselves as neither a man nor a woman, or both. They're gender-neutral and often are described as genderfree or genderless.

Demisexual: People who identify as demisexual only feel sexual attraction to someone after they've formed a strong emotional bond with them. Compared to the general population, most people who are demisexual rarely feel sexual attraction.

Asexual: not having sexual feelings toward others : not experiencing sexual desire or attraction.

Genderfluid: This refers to a non-fixed gender identity that shifts over time or depending on the situation.

Intersex: an umbrella term that describes bodies that fall outside the strict male/female binary. There are lots of ways someone can be intersex.

Non-Binary: People that may identify as an intermediate or separate third gender, identify with more than one gender, no gender, or have a fluctuating gender identity. 

This is not all-encompassing; people may identify with one or more of these flags.
