Visit to Victoria and the BC Legislature
We have been planning and looking forward to this trip for a long time. Unfortunately, two years ago, the budget meetings got cancelled due to elections; last year, the Spring budget was modified and we ended up losing the window to present, even thought we were in their list since the year before, and confirmed this a month prior.
So we are not going to meet the budget committee!
No no. That is far too polite and hinged.
We are coming with fanfarre! Setting up a booth, distributing pamphlets and brochures, teaching people about climate action, giving gifts, even playing music.
And we will also deliver our demands to the BC legislature:
- Include climate education in the bc curriculum, with comprehensive outlines and expectations from kindergarden to grade 12
- Allow free public transit until 18 years old
- Stop signing new projects that are reliant on fossil fuels
- ?
