Ethical Guidelines

This page outlines the core ethical boundaries and financial rules that ensure fairness, transparency, and integrity within the Monkey Rebel Society.

1. Financial Transparency

- All donations and raised funds must be deposited directly into the school-managed account.
- No club money should be held privately or managed through external personal accounts.
- Monthly financial reports must be shared transparently with all active members and club advisors.

 2. Conflict of Interest

- Members or advisors cannot personally benefit financially from club activities or purchases.
- No purchases for the club through businesses owned or operated by club members, their family, or close friends.

3. Purchasing Guidelines

- All purchases require at least two price quotes from reputable, external suppliers.
- All receipts must be stored in the school’s financial records.

4. Approval Process for Expenses

- All significant expenses (e.g., over $50) must be approved by supermajority vote (75%) and documented in meeting minutes.
- Treasurer documents expenses but cannot independently authorize spending.

5. Technology and Equipment Use

- Technology and equipment purchased with club funds belong to the club—not individuals.
- Clear records of equipment use and location must be maintained.

6. External Funding and Grants

- All external grants or sponsorships must be transparently declared.
- No grants can financially benefit individual members directly.

7. Confidentiality, Privacy and Communication

- Members’ personal information cannot be shared without explicit consent.
- Respectful communication is expected in all group chats and correspondence.

8. Meeting Conduct and Decision-Making

- The 'one-no' rule: once a decision is rejected, it cannot be reintroduced without significant new justification.
- Speaker banana and timer systems will be used to ensure fair participation.

9. Accountability and Consequences

- Violations will be addressed by the advisor and, if necessary, the school administration.
- Repeated or serious violations may result in suspension or removal from the club, and...
-Bananas will be thrown upon your offspring.
